1-1.   Number of airports where WGS-84 data are completed

Vietnam completed surveys at 2 airports (Hue and Phu Quoc)

WGS-84 coordinates for all 21 airports will have been surveyed, verified and published in AIP.

1-2.   Number of PBN flight procedures that design is completed

Design for 1 airport (Hue) has completed with 16 PBN flight procedures.

Design for 3 major international airports and other 10 airports will be completed in accordance with Vietnam PBN Roadmap. Estimated as approx. 200 procedures for 13 airports.

1-3.   Number of PBN flight procedures that flight validation is completed

11 PBN flight procedures for Phu Bai Airport were validated by Vietnam Airlines flight simulator.

Approximately 200 flight procedures have to be validated by CAAV.

1-4.   Progress of development of standards for PBN operational approval

CAAV established the standards, and issued in Regulation and Advisory Circular. Vietnam Airlines received approval of RNP10 and RNAV5/1 with B777 and Airbus Aircraft.

All aircraft operators registered in Vietnam will have received PBN operational approval.

1-5.   Progress of establishment of PBN flight procedures

PBN flight procedures are partially implemented at Hue Airport.

c)      Number of RNAV/RNP routes which are implemented for enroute

4 RNP10 routes are implemented.

1-6.   Number of flight procedure designers capable of producing PBN flight procedures

1 CAAV, 4 VATM, 2 ACV and 1 Vietnam Airlines are recognized as capable of conducting PBN flight procedure designs by JICAExperts. The Project will start training on advanced level design.

4 CAAV designers can conduct oversight of flight procedure designs.

10 VATM and 3 ACV/Vietnam Airlines designers can conduct PBN flight procedure designs.

1-7.   Number of flight validation officers capable of conducting PBN flight validation

CAAV has not assigned PBN flight validation officers.

CAAV will have 2 PBN flight validation officers capable of conducting PBN flight validation as well as inspection (calibration).

1-8.   Number of flight standard officers capable of developing standards for PBN operational approval

CAAV have 2 flight standard officers capable of developing and updating the standards for PBN operational approval.

CAAV will have 4 flight standard officers capable of developing and updating the standards for PBN operational approval.
